Module 2 | Understanding How Prana Moves

This module will provide an in-depth exploration of the Prana Vayus and their application in Tantric Meditation. We will explore what what the Prana Vayus are, where they’re located, and how we can work with them in our meditaiton practice to create radical transformation in our lives. Please complete all of the lectures, writing prompts, practices, sadhana assignment, and your Module 2 quiz before moving onto Module 3. SECTION 1: The 5 Winds of Prana

In this section, we’ll unpack the Prana Vayus to lay a foundational understanding for how prana moves.

Practice Review: Pure Breathing & Prana Dharana

This training will utilize the practices of Pure Breathing and Prana Dharana, as taught in your Level I course, in very specific ways. Watch this short video explanation and follow along on page 18 of your Student Workbook.

Use the worksheet on pages 23-24 of your Student Workbook, along with the Pure Breathing practice, to identify which of the Vayus to work with.

Section 3: Mantra, Mudra, & Vayu

SECTION 4: Sadhana Assignment #2

Before moving on to Module 3, please complete a 15-day (or longer if you wish!) sadhana using the Pure Breathing practice as a Vayu self-diagnostic tool. As you progress through 15 consecutive days of practice, use the space on pages 29-30 of your Student Workbook (and/or keep a journal) to make notes about your vayu-specific experiences & observations - both how you feel in the practice, and anything you notice about your experience throughout each of the 15 days.


MODULE 2 QUIZ: Before moving on, please complete your Module 2 quiz. Completion of each of the module quizzes is required in order to receive your graduation certificate & be eligible for CEUs with Yoga Alliance.
